Last week on Friday 20th me and my older sister went on a residential to Hindleap Warren for 3 days with our Youth Club. We had a wonderful time there so today I’m here to share my experience with you.
Firstly it was a two hour journey ride to reach to our destination. Once we arrived one of the staff members gave us a tour around the centre. The place was huge and had different divisions like the forest, rock climbing zone, canoe area etc. They had their own lounge area which included a pool table with a TV but unfortunate we couldn’t watch anything because it was an old TV which only had cassettes to it. But we didn’t really bother since all the excitement took us over!
After settling into our rooms we went night orienteering with our group. We were given a map which leads outside to the forest and had to find white and red signs which had numbers and letters. It was really fun working as a team especially in the dark. The food at Hindleap warren was delightful. My favourite was the breakfast, sausages with buns, Yum! There was also other youth groups with us and the staff members were really lovely!
Some of the other activities we did were Pool canoe, Camp Fire, Leap of Faith, Zip wire, Team exercise, Obstacles and High Adventure. My favourite activity was Obstacles because we worked in groups and it was really funny when someone made a blunder and we had to start all over again. It just makes me laugh when I think back at it! I would defiantly go back there again if I had the chance!
